This timepiece’s architecture cleverly plays with volumes, contrasting materials, and colors, bringing the date mechanism into a new dimension. Each component, crafted in perfectly finished steel, stands in stark contrast to the dark, uniform finish of the movement, including the micro-rotor.
Visible elements such as column wheels, jumpers, springs, and levers add to its intricate allure. A crescent-shaped aperture at 2 o’clock reveals the current date, while an understated seconds display sits at 11 o’clock. The balance, adjacent to the unique balance wheel incorporating the Schwarz Etienne logo, is prominently exposed, with hours and minutes gracefully indicated by Alpha-type hands.

The self-winding micro-rotor movement, ISE 100.11, an evolution of the ISE 100.00, features a balance and hairspring fully developed in collaboration with E20 Innovations. This inverted movement, with the regulator and micro-rotor positioned on the dial side, offers an impressive 86-hour power reserve and showcases meticulous finishing.
Encased in a boldly masculine stainless-steel case measuring 45mm in diameter, the Roswell Date commands attention, particularly on this striking blue edition. The knurled crown, protected by a special guard, includes a pushbutton for rapid date correction. Paired with a charcoal grey-grained calfskin strap, featuring a striking lime green lining, the Roswell 08 is a testament to Schwarz Etienne's capacity to blend eye-catching design with mechanical virtuosity.
