The new RIPPLES SKELETON is housed in Speake-Marin’s iconic “La City” case, masterfully designed by Stéphane Lacroix. This modern fusion of circle and square shapes offers a distinct blend of tradition and innovation. While it maintains the familiar look of the Ripples collection, this timepiece introduces some striking features. For the first time, Speake Marin utilizes 904L steel, a more precious alloy than the conventional 316L steel, with enhanced resistance to corrosion and acids due to its higher nickel, chromium, and copper content. The result is a brilliant shine when polished. The case diameter remains 40.30 mm, ensuring a comfortable fit even on smaller wrists, but the thickness has been reduced from 9.20 mm to an ultra-slim 6.30 mm, thanks to the innovative SMA07 calibre, which is only 3.25 mm thick. Composed of 40 components, the watch is water-resistant to 5 atmospheres and features a square bezel with rounded corners, polished bevelled edges, and a satin-finished surface. The screw-down crown, engraved with the Maison’s logo, adds a custom touch.
Both the dial and case-back are protected by sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflective treatment for optimal visibility. Completing the design is the integrated triple-row polished and satin-finished steel bracelet, adjustable by up to 4 mm with a discreet 2 mm button, offering a seamless blend of comfort and sophistication.
